A nonprofit founded in 2004, The Outreach Program has helped thousands of volunteers come together to provide over 675 million meals to US and international feeding organizations. Through hands-on service projects, different community groups package thousands of meals that are high-protein, shelf-stable, and provide essential vitamins and minerals. With the conflict in Ukraine, millions of people are fleeing to neighboring countries which is causing an increasing humanitarian crisis in the region. Until there is resolution, many organizations are working together to provide aid and resources to those affected. In partnership with Convoy of Hope, we are working to get 100,000 meals packaged and sent overseas. To start, we are holding a community volunteer event on Saturday, June 18th to package the first 30,000 meals. We get to be a part! We have 5 tables that can hold up to 75 volunteer spots from our San Diego area churches. This event is being held at our Torrey Pines Church.
